    Abstract

Experimental (essay) research documentary building on Foucault's notions of the state oppressed body. The film explores topographies of repression and topographies of the (female) body via a visual excavation of state-sponsored disappearances during Argentina's 'Dirty War' (1976-1983). As allegory for today's politicised use of state-sanctioned subjugation, the film interweaves and draws upon: authentic geographies, authorial voice, Human Rights advocates (Memoria Abierta), female survivor recollections, the prose of Julio Cortázar. Improvisational picture/sound editing.
