Biography
Robbie Dwyer is the Programme Leader for our Music & Sound Production and Popular Music Performance & Production degrees at the University of Winchester.
With a background spanning record production, audio engineering, performance, and music education, Robbie brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his role. Alongside his work in the studio, he has spent more than 20 years performing as a musician, supporting established artists and developing a broad understanding of the music industry from both creative and professional perspectives.
Robbie has also worked in education for over two decades, helping students develop their skills, confidence, and professional practice. After many years teaching in Further Education, he joined the University of Winchester six years ago and now leads the music programmes.
Passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for students, Robbie is committed to connecting education with industry. Whether through guest speakers, industry partnerships, live projects, or practical learning experiences, his aim is to help students develop as creative, critical, and professional practitioners, ready to build successful careers within the creative industries.
