Biography

Nancy is a Lecturer in Criminology. She joined the University in August 2022. She obtained her BSc (Hons) in Criminology and Forensic Studies and MSc in Forensic Information Technology at the University of Portsmouth. At the same University, Nancy achieved her PhD in the research area of Internet of Things (IoT) Forensics in Summer 2022.

She has teaching experience in a variety of different areas, including but not limited to; Hybrid Systems, Networks, Forensic Information Technology (computer and mobile forensics) as well as Crime, Media and Culture. Nancy is also a Module Leader for subjects such as Cybercrime and Cybersecurity, Volunteering and Academic Skills, to name a few. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and teaches across the department from foundation year to the MSc in Applied Criminology.

Nancy’s research interest focuses on the challenges and developments of IoT Forensics and the necessary training coming along with such, being government authorities or the private industry. Additionally, her interest expands into understanding not only the methods but also the psychology side of things.
