Karen Chapman

Karen Chapman is Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy. Prior to moving into education Karen specialised in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. She has worked in a variety of settings including the NHS, private practice and elite sport. Karen continues to work clinically at sports events and works as a physiotherapist at Wimbledon each year. 

Previous experience has included working for the Women's Tennis Association, Swim England and as a contractor for British Sailing. She has also worked at the London 2012 Olympics, the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, the 2017 World Athletics Championships and as a venue medical manager at the the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. 

Karen has also gained leadership experience as a clinic manager and regional clinical lead for Nuffield Health. 

Karen is on the Board for the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science as Co-chair of Education.
