Biography

I am Lecturer in Health & Wellbeing (Expertise by Experience). I work as a lived experience lecturer across the Nursing programmes at the University of Winchester. My role is to increase and enhance the involvement of people with lived experience of illness and disability, and using healthcare services across all aspects of course development, teaching, and assessment.

I am a member of the Life Lens team. Life Lens is an innovative collaborative project using digital storytelling techniques to document people’s experiences of receiving hospital care. The goal is to foster empathy and understanding among healthcare professionals and healthcare students and to humanise healthcare through the power of personal narratives.

Research interests

I have a particualar research interest in co-production and lived experience involvement in education, with a particular focus on mental health and Autism, including Mad Studies and grassroots disabled and neurodivergent activism.
