Research interests

My main research interest is in the cognitive mechanisms of social perception and cognition, with a particular emphasis on the social inference from faces. I use a variety of psychophysical methods to study the role of facial morphology, coloration and dynamics in social interaction. Typically, my research methods are based on original self-developed techniques. At an earlier stage of my career I developed machine learning methods for several applications such as shape recognition, automatic facial expression recognition and analysis of biomedical signals.

Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology. ​I hold a BSc in Physics (Magna cum laude) from Ben-Gurion University, Israel; an MSc in Computational Neuroscience  and a PhD in Statistics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. I have also been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology, University of Glasgow, UK.
