Chris Hull

Chris is currently undertaking his Doctorate in Education and is looking at creativity in legal education from his perspective as a neurodiverse law teacher. He has a keen interest in Higher Education pedagogy in legal education; in particular curriculum design, skills development, assessment methodology and technology-enhanced learning and teaching.

Chris has been part of a variety of institutional projects involving Audio Feedback, m-learning, authentic assessment, student retention and success, and employability.

Chris is the Associate Dean for Academic Experience and Student Outcomes within the Faculty of Law, Crime and Justice and Senior Fellow (Learning and Teaching) within the Department of Law. He is an experienced academic and leader, having worked in Further and Higher Education since 2000. He has held various leadership roles overseeing quality, learning and teaching functions, law and business programmes, a Law Department and a multi-disciplinary School. His current role as Associate Dean focuses on working towards achieving strategic goals concerning students' academic experience, portfolio review, and student outcomes.

He has taught a variety of law modules at different levels during his career, predominantly within private client/commercial law. He has a particular interest in Employment Law, which he has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and externally to HR professionals and corporate leaders from national and International organisations. Christopher is also an experienced external examiner and external reviewer.

He is a non-practising Barrister and a past Chair of the Association of Law Teachers. For further professional memberships, see below.
