Biography

Dr Adam Palmer, BA, MSc, PGCE, Chartered FCIPD, D Prof SFHEA is Head of the Department of Responsible Management and Leadership at University of Winchester Business School. He has had over 30 years’ experience in a range of management, academic and consultancy roles in the public, private and university sectors. His professional expertise is in Human Resource Management, having spent 8 years of his career in the role of HR Director.

His academic interests are more wide-ranging and he has published his work in small business, health, responsible management and higher education peer-reviewed journals as well as in the areas of HR and personnel. Much of his research and teaching uses Action Learning and Action Research approaches as a framework for facilitating change and problem-solving. He has long experience of supporting the learning of managers and leaders to achieve postgraduate qualifications and career progression.
