    Description

The June Givanni Pan African Cinema Archive (JGPACA) is proud to announce a
thought provoking 3-part Webinar series based on the film You Hide Me and
actions of Ghanaian filmmaker Nii Kwate Owoo who In 1970 managed to enter
the British Museum to make this short film about the valuable African artefacts held there. Fifty years later the JGPACA - where a copy of the film is archived - together with partners the Africa Centre, SOAS University of London and AFFORD, bring you a series of Webinars in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the film and its prevailing argument for the restitution of African Art. Panels including Nii Kwate Owoo, UK and international curators, filmmakers, artists, writers, cultural activists, museum professionals and academics, will discuss prevailing arguments for the restitution of African Art, raised by the film.
