Description
Human remains from two recent cemetery excavations in Bristol have the potential to uncover a vast amount of information about the lives and deaths of its nineteenth century inhabitants. This talk will discuss some of the preliminary findings, including evidence for surgical interventions and post-mortem dissections, from an assessment of the remains from the St Catherine’s Court (1838-1898) and St George’s (1820-1885) cemeteries.
